Caucus Sessions

Each year Alternatives provides a forum for networking and discussing important issues with peers from around the country. Caucus sessions will be held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. To schedule a caucus session, complete a caucus application here.

Requests must be received no later than August 14. All caucus sessions must be approved in advance by the National Empowerment Center, Alternatives Conference sponsor.

The National Empowerment Center, the sponsoring organization for Alternatives 2007, appreciates the involvement of those companies and individuals who choose to participate in the conference exhibits. We expect over 800 people from all areas of the United States to attend the conference. Exhibit forms must be received no later than September 15.

By participating in the trade show, the name of your organization will be included in the official convention program. The exhibit fee DOES NOT include conference registration. If you wish to attend the workshops, general sessions, meals, or special events you will need to register for conference. Check the registration page for registration information as it becomes available.

Exhibit Space Information & Rules

Exhibit tables will be located in the Wright Room in the Adam's Mark Hotel. Security will not be available in the exhibit area. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to remove any valuables at the close of meetings each day. The National Empowerment Center, the Adam's Mark Hotel, and Horizon Meetings, Inc. will not be responsible for any items lost or stolen from these areas. The exhibit tables must be set up and removed during the hours listed below for set up and tear down.

Once the completed Exhibit Space Agreement is received, you will be assigned an exhibit table. A confirmation letter will be sent to you with a map of the exhibit area indicating where your table will be located.

Thursday, October 30 Exhibitor Set Up 7:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Exhibits are open 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Friday, October 31 Exhibits are open 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, November 2 Exhibits are open 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Exhibit Tear Down 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Call for Presentations

Everyone is invited to consider becoming a presenter at Alternatives 2008; first time presenters are especially welcome. Presenters are encouraged to include youth co-presenters. The lead presenter must be a consumer/survivor. Learning from each other is a clear example of self-help, mutual support and the principles of recovery in action!

May 15, 2008 is the deadline for completed applications to present at the Alternatives 2008 Conference.
